    Biography

    On October 27, 1956, Ameyo Adadevoh was born in Lagos, Nigeria. She lived in Lagos for the majority of her life.

    Babatunde Kwaku Adadevoh, her father, and Herbert Samuel Macaulay, her great-grandfather, were eminent scientists. One of the founding fathers of contemporary Nigeria was Herbert Macaulay. Although she lived in Lagos, she was highly tied to the Adadevoh family of Ghana’s Volta Region through her grandpa.

    Her father was a doctor and former vice-chancellor of the University of Lagos.

    She was also Sara Forbes Bonetta’s great-great-granddaughter, Ajayi Crowther’s great-great-granddaughter, and the grand niece of Nigeria’s first president, Nnamdi Azikiwe.

    Adadevoh was employed by First Consultant Hospital.
