William P. (Bill) Robinson assumed his duties as the 17th president of Whitworth College in Spokane, Washington, in July 1993.
He came to Whitworth from Manchester College, in Indiana, where he served as president from 1986-1993. Whitworth College grew substantially under his leadership both academically and fiscally.
"Bill" Robinson is an American academic administrator and communications scholar who served as the 17th President of Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington.
The campus added numerous new buildings, remodeled existing ones, improved the outdoor spaces, athletic facilities and more. Whitworth also developed a national reputation for quality education during his tenure. Whitworth became a university in 2007.
Pres. Robinson retired from Whitworth in 2010.
